Update as of 3-28-16…
This giveaway has ended.
Congratulations Cindy!
I opened the door to our house after a long day at work and immediately the smell hit me. Ahhhh… dinner! You know when you are walking up to a restaurant and the smell of delicious food hits you and you’re like, “OH YEAH! That’s what I’m talking about”? It’s like that. I love that feeling of coming home to the wonderful smell of a home-cooked meal, don’t you? Now if I can just get my house to clean itself while I am work I’d be set!
THIS MONTH’S GIVEAWAY WILL GIVE YOU
THAT “OH YEAH! THAT’S WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!” FEELING… TIMES 50!
Today we are doing a giveaway for an ecookbook that has FIFTY slow cooker recipes that are all low in Weight Watcher smart points! I have been making some of these recipes this week and it has been such a treat! I think you will agree once you have tried a few of these recipes for yourself that the slow cooker is your friend… the friend that cooks your dinner and welcomes you home after a long day.
This week I will be sharing 6 recipes from the ecookbook “50 Favorite Slow Cooker Recipes eCookbook for Weight Watchers: SmartPoints Edition” and then next Saturday I will be using those recipes in our Weight Watcher friendly meal plan, so even if you do not win the ecookbook you can still enjoy 6 of the recipes by coming back to Meal Planning Mommies this week. You can enter into our giveaway by scrolling to the bottom of this post and answering the simple multiple choice question that is asked using our giveaway tool. The giveaway ends on Monday, March 28 at 12:00 noon.
A little bit about the Simple Nourished Living author, Martha McKinnon
Martha McKinnon is the author of the blog, Simple Nourished Living. If you have used our Weight Watcher friendly meal plans in the past the name, “Simple Nourished Living” may sounds familiar to you. That’s because I have used some of Martha’s recipes in my meal plans in the past. Martha is a fellow blogger (and friend) who also shares Weight Watcher friendly recipes, tips, and success stories. She believes that cooking doesn’t have to be overwhelming and complicated. She focuses on keeping things easy and effortless in the kitchen and in her life. She shares delicious recipes that are simple and practical with as few ingredients as possible.
Martha says that she has “LOVED food for as long as she can remember and she has struggled with her weight for almost as long.” Thanks to Weight Watchers she was able to lose 30 pounds and became a Lifetime member. (You can read more on her journey to becoming a WW Lifetime member here.)

A little bit about ebooks for those who are not familiar with what they are, and how they work:
- An eCookbook is simply a cookbook in electronic format.
- It can be used on your computer OR on your iPad OR on your smart phone!
- You can have quick and handy access to these recipes and ingredients any time, any place.
- This eCookbook is NOT intended to be printed, but that is totally up to you. Just keep in mind that you may end up using quite a bit of ink to print all these pages. If you find that you have a few favorite recipes, you can always print off just those recipes.
- All the recipes are linked from the main table of contents, providing you with easy access.
- When using your computer, this eCookbook should download into your Downloads folder.
- When using your iPad or iPhone, you can easily open the eCookbook pdf in iBooks, or your favorite pdf reader.

Can you tell me the names of all ecookbooks you have with SmartPoints listed?
Alisha Hughes says
Hi Lynda, I actually don’t use very many eCookbooks myself, but am hoping to put together one of my own within this next year. Martha McKinnon has several eCookbooks out now. You can get to them here: https://simple-nourished-living.com/ebooks/ I like Martha a lot (she’s a gem!) and appreciate her work. I think you will like them. Hope this helps.
