E-NEWSLETTER ISSUES.
We had some issues with our e-newsletters not going out this week so I thought I would do a quick recap of what has been going on in my kitchen and on Meal Planning Mommies this week. Early in the week I shared a list of smart lunch combinations that are low in Weight Watcher smart points. You can find simple lunch combinations like this one on the list…
and like this one:
You can go here for the full list of yummy lunch ideas that are easy to put together, complete with pictures!
Cooking for 1, 2, or 3 people?
I also spent some time this week sharing the “Individual serving” cook and freeze concept of cooking. For an idea of how and why this is a smart way to cook you can go here.
And if you want some ideas of recipes that work well with this kind of cooking you can go here.
Okay, now on to our meal plan for this week. Here is what you will find on this week’s meal plan and grocery list:
Shrimp Fried Rice Made Skinny
7 WW SP
Skinny Kitchen
Olive Garden Slow Cooker Pasta Fagioli
5 WW SP
Simple Nourished Living
(10 servings)
Bacon Topped Petite Turkey Meatloaf
with BBQ Sauce
8 WW SP
Skinny Taste
(5 servings)
Skinny Southwestern Slow Cooker Chicken
9 WW SP
Simple Nourished Living
(6 servings)
Chicken salad with apples and cranberries
4 WW SP
Simple Nourished Living
(4 servings)
Doritos Taco Salad
8 WW SP per 2 cup serving
Emily Bites
(4 servings)
As we always do, below a PDF of the meal plan with hyperlinks to each recipe. Once on the recipe you will want to note how big a serving is. When you click on the link to take you to the Dorito Taco Salad on Emily Bites you will see that Emily suggests that 1 cup is 4 WW SP. She also mentions if this is your meal you will probably eat 2 cups so that is why I am saying that recipe is “8 WW SP” per serving.
I hope you enjoy this week’s recipes!!

I really enjoy your posts!!! I am just cooking for myself and I hate trying to figure out how to cut down a “Serves 6-8” recipe. I’m ok with eating something a couple days in a row & freezing a couple. But your ‘muffin tin’ ideas are perfect for me. For a meal or munchie. And, easy to keep after they freeze. Keep up the great work!!! Thanks!!

I haven’t done weight watchers in years. Can you tell me. How m Iuch fat you can have in a day. How much fruit and vegetables and meat.
Alisha Hughes says
Hi Vicki, Weight Watchers does things a little different now. They use something called SmartPoints. You are given a daily “allowance” of points based on your age, weight, activity level, etc. You can learn more here: http://www.weightwatchers.com. Hope this helps. 🙂
