I used Lawry’s Mediterranean Herb and Wine Marinade in this recipe.
I’ll be honest with you… I was going through my pantry the other day to take an inventory of what I bought and forgot about and this marinade was in there. According to the packaging it was just about to expire so I wanted to come up with a reason to use it, and that is where the inspiration for this recipe came from. Just being honest.
When I asked my husband what he thought of these wraps he said “the turkey was really good”… and it tasted good because of the marinade. Just thought I would share that, for whatever that is worth. It’s a unique flavor, and we liked it. If you wanted you could substitute the marinade for fat-free Italian dressing.
Save on points while cutting back on carbs.
My original plan with this recipe was to make them into wraps, so that is what I did, and I liked them that way. Then, the next day I decided to try the leftovers without the tortilla and I almost liked it better eaten like a salad with a fork. You could also use a big piece of iceberg lettuce and make them into lettuce wraps. If you leave out the tortilla and just eat 3/4 cup of the meat/coleslaw mixture it will just be 2 Weight Watcher FreeStyle Smart Points! Good deal, right?!

Lots of protein packed into one little wrap.
I intentionally packed a lot of meat into each wrap. Put so much in there that it almost won’t close-That’s my advice. It just tastes better this way. Make it how you like, of course, but I wanted to mention it in case if you put 3/4 cup of the meat mixture on your tortilla and think I have fallen off my rocker. Yes, it’s a lot, and no, it was not a mistake.
Bulked up with Coleslaw Mix.
These wraps are bulked up with bagged coleslaw mix. It gives some extra crunch to the wraps that I loved. Alternatively, you could chop up some cabbage or use strips of lettuce.
