I have been focusing this week on foods that are helpful in slimming down the midsection. This is a problem area for many people, particularly in America, where foods that are heavy in saturated fats are so readily available, and it is definitely a problem for me.
Earlier this week I shared a post titled “40 Foods that will Slim your Waistline“. In the post I shared some quick healthy habits you can be starting (like drinking water) and some healthy foods you can be eating (like quinoa) that will help to whittle down your waist. As with any big goal in life, it’s one little step at a time that will get you to your goal and each small step taken in the right direction moves you closer and closer to where you are aiming to be. One step I want to focus on today is finding dinner options that are good for your stomach.
Meal Planning Mommies is composed mostly of dinner recipes (with a few exceptions here and there) because our weekly meal plans currently offer 6 dinners each. I decided to go through our Weight Watcher friendly recipes, keeping in mind the 40 foods that were listed in our previous post, and found 15 dinner recipes that offer one or more of the 40 foods in their list of ingredients. A common theme you will notice with all of these recipes is FIBER! All of these recipes either pack in lots of fiber through vegetables or they pack in lots of protein with lean meat or legumes, and many of them do both. A great satisfying powerhouse combo is when you can find a recipe that offers both protein and fiber. I hope you enjoy some of these recipes on this list and find yourself feeling great after eating them.
OH! One more thing. Drink lots of water or green tea with each meal, and in between meals!
