Quick update: This meal plan has been updated with the WW FreeStyle Smart Points per serving, but the website these recipes are on has not updated the points on their recipes yet.
We are kicking off the 2016 year with a GREAT Weight Watcher friendly meal plan! This week we are featuring recipes from The Dish by Kitchme website where you can find all kinds of healthy and delicious recipes! It’s a BEAUTIFUL website with TONS of fantastic recipes. Each recipe has a picture and it displays the nutrition facts! I picked 6 of my faves and did the math for you so you could know the Weight Watcher Smart Points for each recipe, if you are counting!
This is my second meal plan using Weight Watcher’s new system of Smart Points and I am eager to share more in the future. For the previous WW friendly meal plan with smart points you can go here.
Here is what is cooking this week:
Shepherd’s Pie
5 WW FreeStyle Smart Points
6 servings
Easy Barbecue Chicken
3 WW Free Style Smart Points
4 servings
(recipe says 6 ounces chicken, but I believe it was supposed to say, “16 ounces” so I took the liberty of changing the meal plan/grocery list to reflect the amount of chicken needed for 4 servings)
Oven Fried Fish
3 WW FreeStyle Smart Points
6 servings
Chicken Fried Rice
2 WW FreeStyle Smart Points
6 servings
Parmesan Chicken with Mushroom Wine Sauce
2 WW FreeStyle Smart Points
4 servings
Easy Chicken Tortilla Soup
2 WW FreeStyle Smart Points
4 servings

Roberta Quin says
The weekly menu of WW Smart points looks really good. Just a question about how many servings do the recipes make.
Alisha Hughes says
Thanks Roberta! Great question! We try to stick to 4-8 servings. If it is more than 4 it is great for leftovers the next day. Our kids are young enough that four servings is usually enough for our family of five. To know for sure how many people each recipe serves you can click on the recipe and it will tell you. Hope this helps!

I was 10 mins from giving up on Smart Points and WW completely before I found your site.
THANK YOU x 1000
Alisha Hughes says
Hi JulieAnne! Thanks for dropping a comment. You can do it! With the right resources we can do it. Kudos to you for not giving up! 🙂

I am so excited I found this! Thank you so much for sharing!
Nichole says
Just thank you. I feel like some of the other commenters. For a week I just need someone else to do the planning for me. Such a relief to find your website.
Alisha Hughes says
Aww. Thanks Nichole. 🙂 Glad this can help you!
Kathy G says
Thank you for posting these recipes!! If this has already been answered I do apologize but what is the serving size so that I know I have the correct points?
Alisha Hughes says
Hi Kathy, If you go to the recipe you will see how many servings each recipe is for. I am going to take a few minutes later today to go back in and plug in the serving sizes for each recipe. Thanks! 🙂
Bonnie says
Wowed! Great recipes
ABC411 says
These recipes look great, but I’ve been calculating the WW Smartpoints on many of them, and it seems that the points you’re saying each serving are are much less than what they actually are… For example, the Shepard’s Pie, after I calculated it with my WW SP app calculator, is 7 SP per serving; the Parmesan Mushroom Chicken is actually 8 WW SP, not 4, which is a big difference. How have you been calculating these recipes? Are you changing ingredients from what is on each site?
Alisha Hughes says
Good question. I am thinking we are using two different calculators. Allow me to explain… There is a calculator on the WW app that allows you to plug in the nutrition facts to get the # of smart points a food is. There is also an option to do a search for a food and get the number of points. Fruits and veges are zero points (as I am sure you are already aware of). Weight Watchers has created a recipe builder that takes in account that fruits and vegetables are zero points in a recipe. When using the recipe builder you enter in each ingredient and the # of servings of the recipe and it gives you the number of smart points per serving. I am thinking maybe you are using the nutrition facts calculator and I am using the recipe builder calculator. Weight Watchers suggests using the recipe builder when doing a recipe. It does take a little bit more time, but I use the recipe builder to be consistent with what Weight Watchers is doing.
ABC411 says
Ahhh you are right! Thank you so much for clarifying that! I didn’t even consider that the nutrition would be different because of veggies. Thanks again!
Alisha Hughes says
Definitely. Gotta love those veggies. No problem. 🙂
DENISE says
Thank you- I joined WW but have been so frustrated and almost asked for a refund! Ive done WW before ( many years ago) and I needed a menu plan already done for me ( at lest the first 6 weeks or so) …then after I have my bearings I can allow more freedom in choosing & doing my own meal planning. I logged on & they said they no longer have the menu plans. So happy to find yours in a search! Yeah! It’s still doable~
Alisha Hughes says
Oh wow! Good for you Denise! You’re right… it’s a learning curve. It takes time to figure out what to eat and not eat. I hope you are able to find lots of helpful ideas on here. So what’s the trick to seeing the recipes? When I click on the hyper-links I’m taken tot he KitchMe site, but the pages are blank.
Alisha Hughes says
Hmmm… I am not sure. All of the links are working from my computer. Is it possible that it has something to do with your computer? Are other links working okay from your computer? Sorry I can’t be more help.
Denise says
Thanks…I was in a public place and I guess the wi-fi was somehow blocked. I can now see the links and recipes from home.
Alisha Hughes says
Good deal. Glad you are able to get to it now. 🙂
T says

This website is a godsend. It saves me so much time in meal planning. I cook for both myself, my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. My daughter is on calorie counting and I am doing weight watchers. This plan is great for both of us. Plus either one of us cook the meal if the other one was busy. I love the format with the printable grocery list and menu. I can’t thank you enough this is a super awesome website!!
Alisha Hughes says
Perfect! Thanks for dropping a comment Hallie! Appreciate your feedback. Hope you and your family enjoy the recipes. 🙂

I use to love to cook and would actually get excited to meal plan. I now have two kids and thinking about cooking or anything related makes me so anxious! What I am trying to say is THANK YOU! Thank you for sharing with the world and for helping unorganized, anxious mommies like myself.
Alisha Hughes says
Thanks for dropping a comment Claudia! I know you are not alone. I think there are many moms who feel the same way. I am glad this site can be helpful for you!
Pamela Frederick says
So happy to have found your website. I am planning on printing a weekly menu and the shopping list before I head to the grocery store today. Are you still offering weekly menus? I see links to a number of them but not sure I saw enough for the year up until now. It will definitely make WW more enjoyable. I tend to serve the same things over and over for lack of ideas on what to prepare. I will definitely try each of the weekly menus you currently offer.
Alisha Hughes says

Alisha Hughes says
What do you think about purchasing the ebook you want through Gumroad and if you can’t download it I will send it to you as an attachment in an email? Would that be okay?
