Hello!!
It certainly has been a busy week on the MPM blog, hasn’t it? All my posts this week have centered around one eCookbook, and one giveaway. Our giveaway is wrapping up today and one of you will be getting an email later today saying that you won a free eCookbook, so check your inboxes later to see if you won!
Thank you so much to all of you who have come back over and over this week as we shared each of the six recipes that make up this week’s meal plan. I hope you have enjoyed our little glimpse into Martha McKinnon’s “Comfort Food Favorites” eCookbook.
Just yesterday my husband said, “I really like all the things you have been cooking this week!” I was kind of surprised, and I realized he doesn’t say that very often. He just really liked all of these foods this week, which means I will be making them again, for sure. In fact, I will adding these to my special recipe binder that has just our family favorites in it.
Of all the recipes this week, my husband’s favorite was the easy skillet lasagna. My personal favorite was the skinny salsa (sloppy) joes. When I asked my kids what their favorites were my youngest said the chicken nuggets and the other two said the BBQ chicken quesadillas. There certainly was something for everyone this week, wasn’t there?
YOUR favorite Comfort Foods.
When you entered into the giveaway I had you answer one multiple choice question. You were asked which of the 6 recipes that I would be sharing this week would you be most interested in. I love asking questions like this because it helps me sort of gauge what kinds of things our readers like. For instance, from your answers so far I can see that many of you were very interested in the idea of “brown sugar and garlic glazed chicken”, and only a few were excited about the skinny salsa joes recipe. Here were your response results as of Friday night (when I am typing this meal plan post)…
Brown Sugar and Garlic Glazed Chicken – 23
BBQ Chicken Quesadillas – 15
Easy Skillet Lasagna – 12
Cheeseburger Casserole – 11
Baked Chicken Nuggets – 8
Skinny Salsa Joes – 4
I am assuming each of you would probably like to try many, but I just made you choose one. The good news is you get to try them all if you want to! 🙂 If, for any reason, there is a recipe you do not want to use in this week’s meal plan you can always cross off the ingredients for that recipe from the grocery list and skip it. Maybe do a leftovers night at the end of the week instead, or you can use our fast food cheat sheet to make a smart choice if you decide to go out to eat.
